9/11 2001

I thought I would do a little thing for 9/11 today since it is 9/11. A day like today makes you appreciate life and the loved ones you have. I was listening to Michael Smerconish this morning and he said something that really made me think. He was talking about the day and night before 9/11 and how no one remembers what they did that day. As he ate dinner with his family last night he said he was thinking about how thousands of people did the same in 2001 not knowing it was going to be be their last. It makes you think that you should cherish everything you have and the loved ones in your life, and don't take things for granted. I try not to go to be angry at someone because you just never know. All the rescue workers went into those buildings with no thought of their own lives, the only thing they were thinking about was getting people out alive. Thinking about it, I don't know if I could do that. Knowing those buildings were death traps, I know I couldn't do it. That is what makes these men true heroes!!!!! Keith Olbermann said that playing videos of that day is disrespecting the the families of the victims of that day. Well I could not disagree more. I think it is a great tribute to all of the people who gave their lives or had their life taken. I don't think we should ever forget this day in 2001 which has been the biggest incident of my short life. I work with a couple of men who were Verizon techs in NYC on 9/11 and later transferred to our garage who were there that close by that day and helped in recovery efforts. These guys also helped get communications back up in NYC and they will tell you to always remember.
My family and I took a trip to NYC that winter and saw ground zero. The thing I think I most about that trip to New York was the wall with all of the pictures of the missing people posted by loved ones and friends. Me along with all the other people at the wall found ourselves looking at all the pictures and reading the messages along with those pictures. The more I think about it the more sad and upset I get.
I just thought it was appropriate to post something about 9/11 today so I did. I hope to get out to the memorial in Pennsylvania sometime hopefully sooner than later

VERY BUSY!!!!!!

Brandon getting barley cereal for the first time. He seemed to like it as much as the oatmeal.
His favorite thing is to grab his feet
Paul, me, Chris, and Ron on the field during batting practice at the Phillies game.
Another picture of Brandon eating
All the boxes in the back room some full, some not. Getting ready to move out of the Boro!!!!

This month is and already has been a crazy month!!!! As some of you know donna and I are moving out of the Boro, Thank God!!! We are moving to Eastampton which is about 15-20 minutes away. Travel time to work will be another 10 minutes for me and probably an extra 5-10 minutes for Donna. We have been packing and trying to fix some things around the house to get ready to move.

Donna has also been busy planning a beef and beer for a friend who has Pancreatic cancer. The beef and beer is in the begining of October but takes a lot of planning. Also We had to do a few wedding things and also get info and plan for Brandons baptism and the party that follows.

Today I had off because I have to work Saturday, which is supposed to be shitty because of the tropical storm. They say it will be right off the Jersey coast on Saturday and will produce winds up to 40 mph and heavy rains. That kind of weather is no fun when you work outside and on telephone poles. Enough about that. Today Donna and I went out all day and looked for new day cares, as the one Brandon goes to now will be well out of the way for the both of us. We did have some success as we found 2 that we liked and will be easy to get to for the both of us.

This Friday we are going to a friends beef and beer for breast cancer at Indian Springs Country Club in Evesham. It should be a good time for a good cause. In 2 Thursdays from now we will be going to a rehearsal dinner for my friend Chris who is getting married. The wedding will be that following Saturday in Philadelphia. I am really happy for him he is a good guy and deserves to be happy. Chris and His future wife Denise will both be at Donna and my wedding. Good times!!!
The Sunday after his wedding we will be packing up the pod we rented and getting ready to get out on the following weekend. We founfd the pod to be alot cheaper than getting movers. It will be more work but also more fun with friends drinking a couple of beers, it should be interesting.

Talk to you all later
