COMMONSENSE PREVAILS!!!!!!

So we have a famous cheesesteak place here in Philly called Genos on Passyunk Ave in south philly. People may have seen it in the Motown Philly video by Boyz 2 Men. The cheesesteaks are OK but not the best, to be truthful it's just a tourist trap, or a good place to get food at 4 in the morning after all the bars close, because it's open 24 hours a day. I must admit I have had plenty of nights either there or at Pats across the street.

As some of you may know about 2 years ago Genos got in trouble with the city and other groups because the owner had the audacity to put up a sign asking people to order in English!!! He was tired of not being able to understand people, that were holding up the line trying to explain what they want.(and that line can be over 45 min. long some nights or days) the owner was being sued by different minority organizations to take the sign down, and he refused. (good for him) if you stop by Genos you can buy a shirt or bumper-sticker that reads, this is America, speak English.

well a judge ruled today that the sign can stay up and he didn't violate anyone's rights. Thank God for a judge with some commonsense. the more we back down to these politically correct groups the more rights you lose.

To end this our ancestors had to learn the English language so why shouldn't the immigrants of today do the same. It's sad when I walked into a Wendy's and the cashier had to get a translator because I didn't speak Spanish in the United States of America!!! REDICULUS!!!!!

I really enjoyed this post lovey-dovey. It's soooo true!

Hey maybe you should have been an english teacher like Jared! :)

Donna,
Instead of calling yourself "thefatlady" you should call yourself "thepregnantlady" because you are not fat, just pregnant. You look great and just think only a few more weeks to go!

Belle -- if lovey-dovey became an english teacher, he wouldn't even be able to afford those $30.00 beer goggles... ha ha!

Great post, Keith! What you're saying is very true. We are so afraid of offending anyone, that we really offend ourselves. Liberals!

Can't wait to go get a cheesesteak this summer!

hi Keith & Donna,
this was a great idea...ur own blog. Who should take the credit? anyway, its really not about the cheesesteaks anymore. Its about the sitting out in the middle of south philly praying you're not gonna get shot. LOL Ok it is about the cheesesteak. Did I ever tell you that chuck & I can sit on the inside of Geno's. Yeah baby we got connections. Afterall, chuck grew up (basically) right on Federal st..his grandmother's back yard (ok so it all concrete and not much bigger than the epsa's office)it opened up to that little side street where Joe Vento keeps all his motorcycles. Yeah that explains alot..walking distance to GENO'S & PAT'S. Imagine that!
